The Sailing Season is well under way….
After a long winter in Sweden, one of the coldest and longest for 30 years which saw the harbours on the Island of Orust frozen solid for several months, the snow and ice have finally melted allowing Malö Yachts to start launching boats and hand over new boats built over the winter.
First in the water was a Malö 43 with its new owners eager for the ice to melt and allow them to go sailing in their new Malö. The harbour team are working hard to launch all the boats stored ashore and every few weeks a brand new Malö emerges from storage or from the production hall to be rigged and tested before excited new owners travel to Kungsviken to take delivery and their first trip out into the waters outside Kungsviken and the long awaited maiden voyage. In a few weeks the harbour at Malö Yachts will be full of yachts right through to the end of August and the Open Yard event when the season starts to wind up for the winter months.
